salem ilese- PS5 with TOMORROW X TOGETHER feat. Alan Walker

 

"PS5" is the fifth and final single, and second track on American singer-songwriter Salem Ilese's third studio extended play, Unsponsored Content. It features vocals from Yeonjun and Taehyun of South Korean boy group Tomorrow X Together, and production from English-Norwegian DJ and record producer, Alan Walker. It was released on February 23, 2022.

During an interview with Consequence, Ilese revealed the origin of the song:

"The song was born out of a joke with my roommates. They went out and bought a PlayStation for our place and would be on it all the time. I was constantly fighting for their attention, so one day I took my frustration into the studio and decided I would write a song to share my thoughts."

She also stated:

"It was so great getting to collaborate again with Yeonjun and Taehyun. When it came time to get a feature on "PS5", I reached out to see if they would do it. I was so honored they said yes and their verse turned out to be the perfect addition to the song."

Yeonjun and Taehyun also commented:

"We're very lucky to have the opportunity to sing in multiple languages, and we're always excited to take on new challenges. Salem created an irresistibly ear-catching, addictive song and it's certain a lot of us will be playing the song on repeat."
