Artist Statement
I often feel the strong energy from nature. As a new day starts, the energy arises from the earth; spirit comes down from heaven. When they meet somewhere in the middle, something is created by nature, I sense that as "Spirit of Human Nature." Blue Mountain represents the pure spirit in my artworks.
In my mind, I always have thoughts of “What can we hand over to our next generation?” I found the answer from my artworks. “There is nothing, but Spirit.” Young people need the right direction to continue our spiritual lives. If 6.3 billion people live their lives by spiritual way, mankinds have 12.6 billion eyes to look for others and 12.6 billion hands to help, in this world. Then, there is no place out of our reach; there is no heart beyond our love.
I have
inspired form my father, a great artist, SeokJung, NamGoong Hoon who had filled
with creative power in “Spirit.” I would like to convey his
“Spirit of Human Nature” to the
world through my artworks. I hope my artworks inspire the audience to take a
chance to set their goal for “Spiritual
Life,” for our present lives, and for our next
generations fulfilled with love.
