Steve Rhee with Friends...

by e-bluespirit 2006. 12. 10.

Everyone

God has blessed me today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all of your prayers, thoughts and well wishes during my brain surgery on Nov 29. I am discharged today but I have to take it real slow. I walk like an elderly person, write like a 5yr old and have no muscle strenghth right now and going through drug withdwrals,I get tired real easy but I have been blessed by not have the suicidal pain (Trigeminal Neuralgia) that I have been suffering for 3.6 years of my life and on heavy medications.

Now after major brain surgery, I am alive and no more pain, and no more meds. I feel great. It will take time to heal, grow and relearn again. But the Lords power of healing is working in me.

Again, thank you Jesus, and thank you to all of you for your prayers.

It took me almost 45min to write this.

Take care,

Steve Rhee

Steve,

It's so good to hear from you.  Now I know why you have been in my spirit...I'm glad all is well, and you have the victory!  We may not understand some of the things we have to go through, but God has a purpose for it, and He does everything well.  Take care, follow the doctor's orders and just take one day at a time.

God bless and keep you.

Love,

Marcia

Steve:  Thanks for the note and the thoughts.  I think you know it  doesn't take much arm twisting to get my mother to be a good  neighbor.  She's one big reason that the Gordons always have a soft  spot for our neighbors - she has always led by example.

The pictures looked good.  I thought you'd look more like Kojak.   They didn't take much hair and that scar is going to be smaller than  the one on my chin.  The good news is you'll always have a full head  of hair to cut, although you'll need to go back to the 70's long hair  look for a while.

Looking forward to seeing you around Christmas.

Steve,

All praise and glory to God and the doctors who have helped you.

You look good in the pics. Think about getting a diamond stud ear ring,
would look good with the new look.  I was getting kind of worried since
it's Dec 8th and have not heard from you.  I just learned that my good
neighbor Mike has advanced prostate cancer and will have his prostate
removed this Dec 22nd.  The reason I share this, is because I am
realizing how short and fragile life really is.  I am reminded how
important family and friends are.  ]

Take Care and rest up.  Give my regards to Stacy.  Tell her we still
enjoy her painting.

Steve!

Good Morning and very glad to hear from you. My apologies for visiting
you in the hospital. Actually, I was going to go today (my boss is out
of town) and not sure how long you were going to be in ICU. I was out of
town when I originally got your email that you were going for surgery.
What a shock! I have also been busy moving into my new place on Soledad
Drive. I'm grateful that everything went well and you are blessed with
the successful surgery. Please let me know your home address so I can
send you a card or perhaps visit. Get some rest for now and please let
me know if I can do anything for you or Stacy to make things comfortable
for you and her.

Thinking of you both,
Irma! ;-)

Hey Steve,
I had no idea you were having these health problems. I'm very happy that
the surgery was successful and that you are recovering well. I was
talking with Robert Gordon earlier this morning and he was telling me
that you have been dealing with migraines for years.

The most encouraging words I read in your email were that you give all
praise and glory to God. As you know, He is the way, the truth and the
light. I will pray for your return to full strength and, if you're up to
it, I would like to come by to see you. Let me know if that's OK. If so,
I would need your address. You can call me at 594-3902 (cell) or you can
just give me your phone number. Take care.

Steve,
What a shock I received from your Email.  Thank the Good Lord, the Surgeons and members of the Medical Staff for getting you through this safely and successfully.  If anyone on this earth deserved a break like this, it is Steve Rhee and his family.  I remember the problems and the pain you went through and I hope it continues.  Our very best to you and keep in touch.

Steve was up and about with a horse shoe size scar on his scalp.  Same
old Steve....and we are glad about that.  Had to tell him to take it
easy...wanting to give a tour of the new hospital wing.  Told him he was
punched out and not on the clock.  Hes on his way to a victory over
pain...he's got faith and he has proved it.  Congratulations to Steve
and The Aztec Warrior's SHS Spartans.  Now its Robertas turn to battle
starting her Chemo therapy today.

Hi Steve,
All the DOWS are happy to hear your surgery went well and you are
feeling better.  I did some online research and it seems there is one
side effect of your surgery the doctors may not have disclosed... you
gradually, but steadily turn into a left wing liberal!!!  We'll hoist a
beer in your honor at the Hooters year end party.
Congrats and Best Wishes,
Hadley

Hi Steve,

Thank god you are doing so well.  My father was so worried for you.  I had know idea that your are to have surgery. That is a pretty scarey scar.  Were you awake when they did it? My brother in-law had severe migraines and overdosed on aspirin this past October.  He went into a coma and died.  He was Bob's youngest brother 35 years old.  His mother just had a heart attack last week and that was the day that my father called about your surgery.  Hope you are recovering fast and feeling better and better.  We are so happy for you.  Take care and talk to you soon.

Love,
Julie

BROTHER, BROTHER.
First, I was surprised to learn of your illness and that you had
undergone major surgery.  But to a larger degree, I am extremely
thankful to hear that you are doing well and that GOD has blessed you
again in such a supreme way.

So often, we tend to take life for granted, until we have to face our
own fragile mortality.  That's why I take the time each day to give
thanks to GOD for all of his blessings on a continuous basis, whether
large or small.

I read the e-mail that you sent to Ben Traina and saw the photos.
Although they are vivid, it is heartening to see that you are recovering
well.  Yes it may take you time to totally recover, but I'm sure that
the benefits are well worth the struggle (less pain and better health).

Be thankful that you have been blessed to have the chance to recover,
albeit gradual.  All you need it time. Be glad that you have it.

Take care and keep in touch.  I'm sure that you will be back at 100%
soon. MY MAN!!. WHAT'S HAPPENING!! (From up-town Saturday Night w/Cosby,
Sidney, Belafonte and Calvin Lockhart).

Thankfully yours,
Cal Flenory
