Korea Tourism Organization has today launched a new, bright image for the country through its Korea, Sparkling campaign and to celebrate is giving away twenty return air tickets to visit the country.  The new marketing brand launched on the country’s tourism portal www.tour2korea.com symbolizes the energetic and lively Korean people and shows a country of dazzling culture, passionate people, vibrant nature and lively cities.

By visiting www.tour2korea.com and registering as a T2K member visitors have the chance to win one of the twenty round trip air tickets as well as two other events where visitors can play games and win Korean souvenirs and other prizes.  The campaign will run up until 9 May and winners will be announced on the site on 20 May, 2007.

The Korea, Sparkling television advertisement campaign will begin in Australia next week on Foxtel and will be followed by a major Korea, Sparkling event in Martin Place on Tuesday, 29 May, 2007.  This event will give Sydneysiders an opportunity to enjoy exciting Korean performances such as Korea’s famous theatre company Nanta, a Taekwondo demonstration and Korean traditional drummers and dancers.

Recent statistics show that more and more Australians are travelling to Korea in recent times.  Figures show a 20% increase in January/February 2007 over the previous year and there has been continued good growth in the number of Australian visitors over the past few years.  It is hoped the new Korea, Sparkling campaign will arouse more interest among Australians searching for a new, fun and exciting destination in Asia.
