With
my background, education, training and experiences, I feel I am
qualified to become a foreign language teacher at the Defense Language
Institute.
In my
early years, under a great artist who had accomplished an astonishing
achievement for the Korean art world; a dean of the Art College; my father’s
benevolent teaching and under a distinguished educator who has personally
practiced the Korean traditional proprieties and respect the elders; an
elementary school teacher; my mother’s acute discipline, I was inspired by both
parents with the prominent sensitivity. Also, I had obtained a powerful, skilled
intelligence’s pioneer spirit from the greatest teachers. Consequently, I had
received the focus of attention for an honor and exemplary student all the way
through high school.
Afterward, when I majored in Korean painting at Ewha Women’s University,
I deeply perceived the intellectual beauty of

graduating from the University, I managed my own Art Studio which I considered
the developing creativity from student’s untapped sources through their candid
self-expression. Since I noticed the magnitude of all-round education through
art education, I taught the students to use proper language for the emotional
education propose in aesthetic appreciation. As an illustration, a teacher
demonstrating the responsible awareness leads a student with thoughtful
considerations, a deep analysis and a caring love, the student naturally have
the sincere respect for the teacher; furthermore, the student comes to the
greater personal growth and fruition. Likewise, I learned the consequences from
my experiences.
