RN running to save lives!!!

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.   I am training hard to participate in an endurance event -- the San Diego 26.2 mile Rock-n-Roll Marathon, as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.   All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, young and old alike. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!   My race is June 3rd and it's coming up quick! I look forward to the minute that I cross the finish line and feel proud that I worked hard for this worthy cause. Thanks to all my friends and family for your support so far. Hi to my Family and Friends! 

 

I wanted to give you an update of my marathon training and redirect you to my fundraising site to show you my progress!  I am up to over $600 already!

 

I have been working hard at this running thing and am up to running 10 miles already....I cannot even believe it and my feet can't either --so they are telling me (!!). There have been so many times I have wanted to quit and I just can't do it. The cause is very important....Tomorrow I increase my mileage by another 2 miles which will put me at almost half of the marathon length. My race is June 3rd, it's coming up quick!  Thanks to all of you who have helped with the fundraising and support so far -- your generosity is overwhelming!  We raised almost $250 at the bargain fair sale today just by cleaning out the garage!  WOO HOO!  Here is the link to my website:
