My best friend

Thanks for being a friend I could always count on.  
Thanks for leaning your shoulder out for me to cry on.
Thanks for making me laugh when I am wearing a frown.
Thanks for always being there when I am down.

I have never had a friend that I love as much as you.
Don’t look at me crazy, I am telling the truth.

At times that I thought my world was coming to an end,
You were there for me time and time again.

You know me better than anyone.
You know that you’ve been there when I had no one.

I hope that my friendship is just as good as yours.
I hope that you know if you need me I am here with open doors.

There are things I could not have made it through
 if you had not been here for me.
There are things that only you could see.

So, once again I am saying thank you for all you’ve done for me.
Thanks for being here when I needed you to be.

If ever you need a friend you will have one here.
I mean it, I am being sincere.
